Toni-Anne is an aspiring TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) instructor, who is currently enrolled in the TESOL certification program at the University of Toronto- Woodsworth College.
Toni-Anne holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College, where she took part in the Jamaica Project 2014, and completed her practicum at the McCam Child Development Center in Kingston, Jamaica. After graduation from her diploma, Toni-Anne continued her studies in the field of early childhood and graduated from the University of Guelph in 2017 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Early Childhood Studies. After a few years of working in childcare, Toni-Anne noticed that she loved learning new words from students and families in their first language. As a result, Toni-Anne decided to further her education and applied to the TESOL program. Toni-Anne would like to work abroad teaching English or teaching English to newcomers to Canada, in addition to continuing her work with children and families in the field of early childhood. |
